This pretty well sums up how I, one of the millions of Americans of mostly Irish ancestry, often feel about St. Pat's as it's celebrated here. It's all in good fun, I know, and not all of it is in bad taste. But as Delaney says, no doubt with a wink and a smile: "Think of this as you wince through Saint Patrick's guano — Not every Italian is Tony Soprano."
