Tested: AMD's Frame Rate Target Control delivers real benefits for Radeon gamers
AMD is releasing frame rate control for the 3xx series! This will help cards lower temperatures and consume less power, since cards can be producing 100+ fps which would be wasted on monitors that do not have high enough refresh rates.

It looks like it works, so it would be pretty cool to see that feature come over to the green side.
We can already do this, but it has to be done through Nvidia Inspector. Otherwise, there's the framelimiter option under RivaTuner that works for any GPU.
Seems a pity it's capped at 95 fps for those with 120 or 144 Hz monitors. Hopefully we'll see support for some of the older graphics cards as well, though it's not likely they'll go as far back as mine (HD 7950).
There was an article claiming that the 2xx series will also be receiving the frame limiter, but it should be taken with a tablespoon of salt.
