Excellent. May have to put my RPi to use for something like this.
And now I have a use for the extra Pi's I have around the place. Rather than mounting and leaving the mountpoint open to the rest of the network, you could also SSHFS. I don't know what sort of performance hit you would take but it would also help if you had a external server with your music on there.
