I'm all for dissenting opinions but I'm not sure articles from Salon or thinkprogress should be posted to the republican tribe, Not going to downvote or hurt anyone's rep, as I'm guessing this was autotagged along with politics, etc. But moving forward we should avoid it, same goes for articles from RedState or Breitbart going to the Dems page.

The moderators of a tribe can remove posts, and do. Over at Reddit, mods at /r/Republicans would instinctively remove anything from Salon if they hadn't already set up the automoderator to do it for them. That doesn't mean it's right for them to do so. Certainly not in every case. Not every post is meant to be red meat to satisfy the hunger to have what you already think confirmed again. Some are meant to be examined, sifted through and evaluated. Sometimes a particularly successful Rand Paul campaign stop is relevant to Democrats, or a bucket of cold water needs splashing on Republicans. Or, as I think happened with this piece, things get published into 'Republican' as a subject more than as a tribe, as a topic more than as one side of a street fight with chains and knives.

Yes, I agree, as i mentioned I have no problem, hearing differing opinions and do not want this to become an echo chamber, however when the opening line is "Sure, Hillary trounced those clowns. But Benghazi true believers will fight on to save America -- or destroy it" it's more than just a differing opinion it's insulting.

My issues with sites like Salon and thinkprogess isn't that they lean left it's that they have assumed the voice that liberals are smart and open minded and conservatives are bigots and racist. If the entire agenda is to put down conservatives, then frankly I have no interest in reading and again I would suggest it shouldn't be on a page for republicans.

Should they not be challenged to debate the points?
