A little late here but it's definitely a good idea to put your current employer and/or peers on your resume and as references. Just be honest to your boss ahead of time and say that you are not necessarily eager to leave but that you are exploring other options. This is pretty much what I told my current employer when I was looking for another job, and the end result was me getting a raise and staying with my current employer for the time being.

A vacation to Mexico to celebrate my 30th birthday. I'm hoping that my thirties will bring me a new sense of peace and contentment that have been missing from my twenties. I'm still waiting to reach an "everything feels right in place" point in my life.

How do you like your job? I've contemplated becoming a 911 dispatcher but I change my mind when I start envisioning all the scenarios I could potentially end up handling. I'm not sure how comfortable I would be with hearing a person die over the phone or listening to someone discovering a dying person.

I work in a group home for teenage girls who struggle with behaviour issues, substance abuse, and mental health concerns. At times it's definitely very draining but other times it's also very rewarding and fulfilling.

I'm going to battery-chop my onions from now on.
