It all sounds gimmicky to me, and not really functional for my needs. KISS, keep it simple stupid, is a thing for a reason. I do like the split tab thing though.
For those heavy Internet users that need more than 2 browsers opened at the same time, it's a great addition, as it allows to have a different session opened in a new browser and keep search history, browsing habits,... separate.
