The Stanford Prison Experiment - Official Trailer
The trailer plays like a psychological thriller, but so far it looks true to the record. Prof. Zimbardo–having just earned tenure at Stanford (and played in the film by Billy Crudup)–chose 24 healthy student subjects and randomly assigned them either the role of guard or of prisoner.

This looks incredible! I've never heard of this experiment until now, but I'm fascinated. Cannot wait to see the film!
EDIT: I thought I would also share this resource for others in my position: http://www.prisonexp.org/ - hopefully external links are allowed! If not, please let me know and I'll remove it.
I'm glad you're interested! The link is great... in fact, you can add that to the post itself if you like. You just click the "add related link" button above the comments and pop it in there with an appropriate title. It's definitely relevant to this post, and I'm sure people will find it helpful. :)
Always been fascinated by that experiment.
Me too! I hope the movie is good because it's a fascinating story. I'm hopeful after seeing the trailer. :)
Yes, can't wait to see it. Also, I'm glad there's some renewed interest and more/new info is surfacing, at least new for me. Over time the results were quite controversial and contested by some. Others say we just need to put it in a new light on the results: is it about human nature alone or human nature influenced by the institutional set-up (i.e. prisons)? I found this article pretty good in clearing a few things up about both the movie and the experiment: http://www.newyorker.com/science/maria-konnik...real-lesson-of-the-stanford-prison-experiment
Oh man! That looks great!
Now this is something I want to see.
This looks awesome!
This movie from 2010 already has a very similar plot: The Experiment.
