Yeah, I feel this has heralded a rather different era of gaming - the rise of kickstarted titles. Right now, most are grounded in the retro and older-franchise era, but slowly, I am seeing new titles which are branching out. Even titles such as Pillars of Eternity take the old retro style CRPG and breathe new life and ideas into genre. It's not completely stagnant.
