For me,it was when I was in my early 30's..I should have explained that a tad better.
We're just being silly. Yeah, early 30s sounds like the typical age when ones taste "matures", ha! The 1930s had some great music though. ;)

It's interesting that you remember the year. What happened? Did you just decide not to care about what's popular anymore?
I suppose it depends what you mean by popular music. If I define popular as anything not classical, then I probably keep up with some of it. If you define it as what's in the charts, then since 2005 I haven't enjoyed much at all.
