The reason for this is because of companies like Monsanto. Getting farmers to use "Roundup-Ready" crops encourages them to use tons of herbo-cides to kill everything but the GMO crop. Unfortunately, our amphibian population is not "Roundup-Ready" and they are going extinct as a result.
And now there's 2 million people protesting Monsanto for this exact reason.
2 million? I thought it was 200k?
