On the one hand, I selfishly wish they'd leave the childhood nostalgia games alone and develop new material but on the other hand I'm like IT'S FINAL FANTASY 7!!
I think Square Enix will have to stick incredibly close to the original game or fans will revolt.
Still, think of it this way, if this game does well, what are the chances they'd make a direct sequel?
Square finally needs that money bad enough. If they add some new content I might get it. Personally a graphics upgrade isn't enough for me

Aw, I didn't realize it was a remake.... Would have liked to see something new about Cloud and the rest. I really enjoyed Advent Children.
Also, can I just say, while I get from a business standpoint why exclusives are important, God I hate console exclusive games.

Square has been releasing their stuff on Xbone as well. I wouldn't worry.
Not only that, but if FF7 was a PS4 exclusive (or even only on PC + PS4) Sony would have pasted that all over the trailer.
I would even say it would be a system seller (it would be for me, I only have an xbox one for now).
You're right, looking through Square Enix's stuff it seems most of their newer games make it to PC too. Just have to hunker down and wait.
I'm not really familiar with Final Fantasy series... what exactly do they do when they remake a title?
