Wind chill sends Mount Washington temperatures to 108 degrees below zero, setting new record
A record-setting wind chill of 108 degrees below zero was seen on the summit of Mount Washington in New Hampshire, the National Weather Service said.

Even at the best of times, Mount Washington has incredible weather. I remember a cold morning in early October setting out to climb Mount Washington. It was chilly, but not "cold". As we got to the top, we were suddenly blasted by arctic winds and blowing snow. That peak can be tough!
