Unless there is a mass exodus from reddit that comes here I will probably stay there more than here. It's just so much large and personally I still find it better for looking/talking about specific things at once. I like a lot of the ideas here but don't like how a lot of it was implemented.

To an extent. You could have enough throughput that it's very hard for it become bottle necked through requests. But if the bot net is large enough you need the infrastructure the size of major companies like amazon and microsoft to withstand one.

I'm kind of glad. It being down made me come here. Voat is basically a straight up reddit clone with giving topics more freedom in design from what I could tell.

Well lets use the example of tribes related to specific games. If I stop playing the game why be part of the tribe?

Hexchat or when I remember to take advantage of it IRC Explorer from the microsoft app store (it's actually pretty nice and really nice if you use windows apps on a regular basis(I mean like apps not traditional progams)).

Join a college or some school after high school (may be able to get one sooner if you can work something out with your it department/teachers for discounts for things.

I hope it shows companies that it's not the model that's the issue but the games they're making. The model doesn't matter as long as the game is great.
