Fiat vs. crypto. There is so much back and forth on it. I guess from a layman's perspective, they are different sides of the same coin. Fiat, or faith money only has value if people believe it has value, and that is with the backing of governments, established institutions and a large population of the faithful, but without that they are as worthless as crypto. If crypto also gets all of that backing, I don't see the difference, aside from perhaps democratized creation, but that is like the gold rush days to me.
