I worked for a short time in the north east corner of Georgia, and that crap was everywhere. I was working for a construction company rebuilding a dam for the TVA, and that weed had covered all the open areas surrounding the damn and was enveloping the side of the trees that was exposed to the sun (much like the photo in the article). One one hand, it made for a lush green carpet covering everything around us, but at the same time, when we had to remove some trees to improve/repair the dam, the vines made it difficult and dangerous, especially when they had climbed utility poles too.
