The good news is that this ruling only affects the 9th Circuit, which is how the Supreme Court usually rules on things. Until a second or possibly up to three Circuits have differing opinions the Supreme Court rarely takes action, in my memory anyways. The bad news is that most every tech company in the US is governed by the 9th.

I loved the argument about how if you can copyright an API then you should be able to copyright a language.
