I visited Aleppo as a tourist in 2010 and I loved it so much. Beautiful city, amazing food, and absolutely mind-blowingly nice people. I've had TAXI DRIVERS offer me free rides because they wanted me to feel welcomed in their country.
So sad to read this, and so surreal. I hope Syria knows peace again soon. I want to see it again, once it starts healing.
