As a long time resident of Arizona, and in the Phoenix area, I am constantly astounded at how we put in place water saving/conserving measures but then we have situations like this, where a vital resource which should be protected is allowed to be used by a company for profit. We don't watch or protect our water interests as much as we should. In addition to a water-bottling plant, we have a hay farm owned by a Saudi Arabian dairy company which is used to grow alfalfa (a water intensive crop) for their dairy operation.
