I don't know if nostalgia for a lost status quo equates to fascism. That's a pretty distorted lens he's got there.
That can be one of the qualities of a fascist government, though it's usually used as a tool to justify revolt, draconian measures, and so on, along with a mega dose of patriotism. (Think Mussolini and his message that he would bring back the Glory of Rome.) Still, that's like saying someone's a Communist because he supports government-run soup kitchens.
