That's because healthcare in the USA is a moneymaking operation. Unfortunately it's heading that way in the UK too.
I thought healthcare in the UK was paid by the government? Maybe I'm ignorant, but it could be solved by having the doctors and hospitals run by the government instead of privately. Is that not how it is in the UK?
