Stories like this infuriate me. Personally I have 2 teenaged daughters and we have been discussing the topic of their bodies, sex, assault, everything since they were 10 years old. All I can do is arm them with information, confidence, and self esteem. Outside of that it's then up to males (those who are prone to such sadistic behaviour) to not just take what they seem to feel entitled to.

My question is what type of conversations do the parents of boys have with their sons? And if parents have taught these sons about consent, right and wrong, rape, and sexual assaults....what exactly changed that these "men" decided to assault anyway?

We must remember that this behaviour does not just affect females, it also affects our perception therefore treatment of males. We must do better by our sons and daughters. We must teach them respect, dignity, and love to themselves AND others.

Here are some other snaps you may like...
