I didn't think it'd be as addictive as it ended up being. The one thing that's kept me away from FPS shooters is the game feel. Splatoon has got that Nintendo polish over that Call of Duty core. Plus it's unique, and fast enough (3 min matches) that even if I get decimated I never feel like rage-quiting or anything. And that doesn't even include the single-player campaign, new stuff being added every week, and playing dress up with your avatar (which is consistently my favorite thing ever).
