I quite like them and they are good but they are not the best urban fantasy I have read. I get the feeling of randomness and chaos from the books. Still I do go back to reading them occasionally.
I really liked the TV series but it was odd. I think it was only after about episode 8 that he really started using magic a lot.
I much prefer Kevin Hearne's Iron Druid Chronicles (Start with Hounded) or Briggs' Mercy Thompson Moon Called.
