I know I'm not you, but if it helps, a large part of getting over my own claustrophobia was understanding exactly why I felt the way I did. What got me was the lack of control over my personal freedom I felt when confined. Meaning, even if I wanted or needed to, running/eascaping wouldn't be an option in small spaces. Just sort of coming to terms with this was helpful for me.
Small spaces. I cannot stand being in tiny spaces, it gives me anxiety. Why am I so afraid!?!
