Headhunter tells millennials how to land jobs and keep them
Citrin, with three children in their 20s, wrote a book called "The Career Playbook" to help millennials — and anyone, for that matter — land jobs and keep them. We asked him to share some advice for job hunters.

Oh, I agree that sharks aren't evil per se, but I think we can still blame them for eating us, the same way that we can blame people for eating them. Not blaming them just seems a silly way to put it, since there is no controversy surrounding the fact that they are, in fact, attacking people.

For millennials in work force, a different view of 'American Dream'
I learned something new at a recent diversity training session: I've held some unfair biases against millennials.

"Bread and circuses" (or bread and games; from Latin: panem et circenses) is metonymic for a superficial means of appeasement.

He's never really had to face reality - he inherited millions from his father, and has managed to hold onto his millions by declaring bankruptcy multiple times and running companies into the ground without ever touching his personal wealth.

You and me both! However, regardless of the factors, it seems like "not blaming the sharks" is pretty silly. When people are missing giant pieces of them, saying "don't blame the sharks" is not exactly where I would go with that logic...

Ah, that would make more historical sense. Thanks for the clarification!

That's an interesting dystopian take on history. One has to wonder if the "districts" are in any way inspired by The Hunger Games.

However, different countries have far different rules about the internet in their own countries. It's one thing to have the US and NZ working to seize Kim Dotcom's goods - those are both western, developed countries. I think it would be far more difficult to get every country on the same page. China and its Great Firewall is one example that springs to mind, but many other countries in Asia and the Middle East also have moratoriums on content that the US and other western countries wouldn't bat an eye at. Not to mention the issues that deep web, VPN use, Tor, etc. would cause.
Never mind that governments use hacking and malware to disrupt the inner workings of nations with whom they don't see eye-to-eye. It just seems like a big can of worms.

Frankly, I was just done with the drama and the vocal hordes of internet vigilantes the site seems to groom. I come onto news aggregate and social media platforms for a community. A lot of the subreddits - even the smaller ones I frequented - were bogged down with petty arguments and misdirected heroics. I am much happier being on a smaller and more polite site.
