    Thinking about getting into audiobooks?

If you're like me, you do a lot of driving, cleaning, running, or shopping. Anything that doesn't require much thought can be considered a great time to unwind and dive into a book! I went from someone who read maybe one or two books over the last ten years to reading almost two books a month over the last year! It might not seem like much, but the point of the story is that I'm proud of it and I encourage others to do the same!

There are two main ways I've found to get books, the first is Audible. It's subscription based, but if you wait around for a promotion, you can get something like two credits for the price of one, or a cheaper subscription for three months (that's a rare promo, but it last happened in December). Your first book is free, so if you'd like to try it out and see how well you can get through an audiobook, you can just cancel before your subscription renews.

Also, there is a website called Overdrive. MOST local public libraries pay for a subscription and a certain amount of digital audiobooks to be rented out for free! The great news is, unlike a hard copy rented from your library, it automatically gets returned when your time is up. You can apply for an extension, but for the more popular books it might be denied. Many times there is a waiting list to receive the book you want and the default checkout is two weeks. It's not as convenient as audible, but it's free... so there's that.
