Yeah its crazy, but those "plumes" are massive, so big in fact that most of our little heads can't wrap our minds around their actual size. If our planet was in that pic, it would be nothing but a barely visible little speck. Even now I try and imagine the sheer mass of it all, to no avail.

Agreed. It's hard to imagine for sure. But, since everything in space is moving, my brain says something should be different.
Yeah, we just don't have that sense of scale where even 100 years in space at such scales is like .001 of a second for us.
