Ignorance is the default human state. Education takes constant work.
In my 52 years on this planet I have found that it's even worse than that. Most people are willfully ignorant. They have no desire to learn.
I've noticed this as well. On one forum, someone asked about telepathy and people's experience with it...This is a married adult..I told her there was no such thing,except in fantasy and science fiction. She called me "rude and mean" and deleted her post. I was astounded. The biggest thing I've noticed is people seen to think whatever they pull out of their arise is a fact and should never be questioned.
Telepathy and related phenomena have been widely studied for years by renown institutions/ universities, Harvard for one, and both government and private agencies with results that substantiate the likelihood for their very existence.
"I told her there was no such thing,except in fantasy and science fiction." Perhaps you should familiarize yourself with the subject before you declare your ignorance.
