The Time Everyone “Corrected” the World’s Smartest Woman
By all accounts, Marilyn vos Savant was a child prodigy. Born in St. Louis, Missouri in 1946, the young savant quickly developed an aptitude for math and science. At age 10, she was given two intelligence tests -- the Stanford-Binet, and the Mega Test -- both of which placed her mental capacity at that of a 23-year-old. She went on to be listed in the Guinness Book of World Records for having the “World’s Highest IQ,” and, as a result, gained international fame.

1. Theoretical probability is weird, but if it can be explained effectively, makes almost perfect sense. 2. Did she have her name changed to Savant or was that her birth name? Seems odd.
Although it may seem weird, the answer to the question was without a doubt correct and I find it amusing that there would be so many people that were so at their ready to bash her. As for her name, yep its her real family name, I found it sort of odd with her being a real "savant" and all.
I found the best way to visualize this "problem" is to just imagine there is 1000 doors instead of the 3. If the host asks you to stay or switch, you switch because the chances are almost 100% that he will switch you to the winning door, since the odds of you initially picking the correct door are 1 in 1000.
