TV Ratings: 'SNL' and Alec Baldwin Make Strong Return After Record Election Year
Saturday Night Live returned to NBC this weekend, Alec Baldwin in tow, for another season likely peppered with parody of Donald Trump. Airing live in all U.S. time zones, as it did for four episodes last season and will continue to do all of this season, the show averaged just over 7 million viewers and a 1.9 rating among adults 18-49. Those figures both represent declines of a little more than 15 percent from the prior opener — no surprise given last year's presidential election cycle.

Dave Chappelle apologizes for telling people to give Donald Trump ‘a chance’
When Dave Chappelle hosted Saturday Night Live the weekend after the November 8 election, he said he was willing to give newly elected President Trump a chance. Shortly before his November 12 hosting gig, Chappelle had visited the White House — which was still occupied by Barack Obama — and the experience had left him feeling “hopeful and proud to be an America,” the AV Club reported. That kind of benevolence was on his mind as he, like everyone else at SNL, struggled to come up with a show that would acknowledge...

Trump or Baldwin? Newspaper uses wrong picture
The blunder by journalists saw an image of the actor dressed up as Trump appearing in print instead of the President. A newspaper in the Dominican Republic has had to apologise to readers after it mistakenly used a photo of Alec Baldwin impersonating Donald Trump instead of the US President himself. The Hollywood actor, wearing a blond wig in his guise as the American leader on comedy show Saturday Night Live (SNL), appeared next to an image of Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Donald Trump Tweets 'SNL' Is 'Totally Biased' After Sketch About His Twitter Habit
Donald Trump tweeted that Saturday Night Live is “unwatchable” and “totally biased,” after Alec Baldwin impersonated him in a cold open sketch mocking his tweets. Saturday’s episode featured Baldwin as the president-elect constantly distracted by his Twitter feed during a national security briefing. The sketch opened in a classroom, where a high school student named Seth was retweeted by Trump—recalling Trump’s real retweet of a 16-year-old named Seth, who attacked CNN over its coverage of Trump’s false claim that millions of people voted illegally.

SNL Writer Will Stephen Explains How to Sound Smart In a TED Talk
There are plenty of outstanding lectures that come from TED, a conference where Technology, Entertainment and Design converged in 1984. Aptly and succinctly called TED Talks, these lectures can introduce bold new ideas, demonstrate exciting inventions, showcase performances, highlight science and discovery, call attention to important issues and more. They’ve become rather popular in education recently, because of their concise nature for all being 18 minutes or less. But how are TED Talks so compelling?
