Nah, this place’ll be destroyed by the runaway effects of our own, unique, distinctly personal failings and unspoken, mutually-conflicting goals. Meanwhile, people here seem quite nice. Happy you’re here!
Wait, are we supposed to have goals? I was hopping to get by on my stunning good looks and endearing charm. Goals sounds like work, work I would like to avoid. So you could say my goal is to avoid work. CRAP now I have a goal, which is what I was trying to avoid in the first place. Thanks :(
Edit: Unless I do work then my goal is null and void! See there is a way around everything. But that means I have to work at something on Snapzu. How about I work at not working! My goal is voided and I still avoid work! Yes!!! It's a win win situation for me and Snapzu! No work, More rum! Perfect.
If having a goal, or the idea of having a goal, is too aggro for you, may I suggest having only ‘subgoals’ instead?
Better yet, consciously deny having goals. Tell yourself, instead, that you’re only interested in ‘outcomes.’
This smacks of a Fabian approach to goal setting.
The man’s a pirate. The sea’s got in his blood. Like the sea, he will meet his challenges by swirling, twisting and weaving round them. This may be more like Sun Tzu’s way of winning without fighting than the ‘Fabian systems’ of guerilla insurgency of George Washington, Sam Houston and the Viet Cong. When the earth in his bones returns to the ground, then maybe he can reflect on how not having goals may have sealed his fate before he goes on to his final reward.
New Subgoals!
1. Learn words.
2. Create t/SpanishArmada.
3. Post pictures of Gold, Silver, and Aztec women to t/SpanishArmada to get them all in one place.
4. Train Ferrets to scuba dive.
5. Attack!!!!!!
6. Retrieve said Gold with trained Ferrets.
7. Drink rum with Fabian.
8. Repeat.
This just might work!!!!!!
