Actually, the name "Lounge" strikes me as a place where anything goes, where people can relax and talk about whatever they want, without being uptight about whether certain topics are appropriate or not. To quote the rules on the right over there, "All off topic discussions are welcome". If you personally don't want to get involved in such nonsense, that's fine, just ignore it. But to ban silly topics like this from such a broad tribe as this, isn't that like banning someone from a bar because they want to talk about something other than football? This would be fine if this tribe was actually called "Sensibe Discussions About Snapzu Only", but it isn't. It has the most general name possible, so it should be open to everything apart from being nasty to people or spamming.

I would argue that we do need a place to just be silly and discuss random nonsense. That's part of what the internet is for, as far as I'm concerned. Of course, nobody likes a serious discussion more than me, but I also like having silly conversations too. If my use of the internet had to be serious 100% of the time, it would make me want to just turn my computer off and go and sit in a library and read an encyclopedia. I sometimes do that though, by the way.

I'm glad I made the original post, because maybe it's the only way issues like this get talked about. Because this does bring up some important issues, such as whether or not a NSFW option should be available on this tribe (I couldn't see a NSFW checkbox when I made the original post, but maybe there was one and I just didn't see it). It's not about just what you want, or what just I want, it's about what is a reasonable use of a tribe with a broad general name like "Lounge", rather than a tribe with a really specific name such as "This Tribe is Only For Discussing 18th Century Classical Music Composers".

In the spirit of using the Lounge for serious discussion about Snapzu, and to keep all this democratic, I shall start another conversation where everyone can have their say.
