Mother, daughter killed in fiery crash ID'd; 18-year-old wrong-way driver was a YouTube star
The 18-year-old who sped the wrong way down state Route 805 Thursday, crashing into a SUV and killing himself, a 12-year-old girl and her mother, was a YouTube star who had made a small fortune in video gaming gambling, according to authorities and hundreds of gaming fans on Twitter. The California Highway Patrol identified him Friday as Trevor Heitmann of San Diego.

The mysterious California seaside crash in which at least five members of a family were killed is being labeled a crime by the man heading up the investigation. Mendocino County Sheriff Tom Allman told HLN's "Crime & Justice with Ashleigh Banfield" on Wednesday that Jennifer Hart was driving her family's SUV when it went over a California cliff last week.

A cargo plane operated by ACT airlines crashed near the capital of Bishkek in Kyrgyzstan, killing 33 people and wounding others, authorities announced on Monday. The accident took place at about 7:30 a.m. in the village of Dacha Su near Manas International Airport. The victims include four people on the plane and dozens of residents of the village. Several injured, including at least three children, were reportedly transferred to a local hospital, according to the Kyrgyz Ministry of Emergency Situations.

EgyptAir Flight 804: Final moments questioned
The search for EgyptAir Flight 804 continues, amid contradicting reports about the aircraft's final moments. After it disappeared en route from Paris to Cairo last week, some debris from the plane -- including life vests, personal belongings and parts of wreckage -- has been recovered. The transport ministers of Australia and Malaysia say two plane parts found in Mozambique almost certainly came from missing Malaysian Airlines flight MH370. The two pieces of debris were found separately by members of the public and were flown to Australia for analysis. Australian's Darren Chester said the finds were "consistent with drift modelling" of ocean currents. MH370 vanished in March 2014 with 239 people on board.

Baltimore Ravens cornerback Tray Walker has died from injuries he suffered in a crash in Florida Thursday night. Miami-Dade police Detective Dan Ferrin said Walker was riding a motor bike and was not wearing a helmet when he collided with a Ford Escape shortly before 8 p.m. Thursday at NW 21 Avenue and NW 75 Street in Miami. Walker, 23, died Friday afternoon.

Death toll rises in southern Colorado sheep DUI crash
The Colorado State Patrol has increased the sheep death toll in a San Luis Valley hit-and-run crash this week in which they say a drunken driver killed dozens of animals. Captain George A. Dingfelder said Friday at last check 42 sheep died in the Rio Grande County wreck. Officials initially said 38 were killed and 12 injured. Lynn Ann Michel, 47, of Monte Vista, was arrested in the case. The State Patrol says she was westbound on Rio Grande County Road 8 South when she ran into the flock.

French TGV high-speed train derails near Strasbourg
A high-speed TGV train has derailed near the eastern French city of Strasbourg, killing at least 10 people, officials say. The crash happened during a test run in the town of Eckwersheim, on a new Paris-Strasbourg line. The train was carrying 49 railway technicians when it derailed, caught fire, and plunged into a canal. France bus crash: Pensioners killed in truck collision
At least 43 people, most of them pensioners on a day trip, have been killed in a head-on collision between a bus and a truck in south-west France. The crash happened on a country road near Puisseguin in the Gironde wine region, east of Bordeaux. Both vehicles then caught fire. France's president promised a full investigation into what he called an "immense tragedy". It is the worst French road disaster since 1982, when 52 people died.
