Wasn't much, but helped an old lady (she said she was over 90!) with her shopping down a travelator at the mall.

I was broke on holidays, eating bread out of a supermarket because it was all I could afford, but I still gave some coins to a beggar.

I don't know if it was the right thing to do (there's too many bad stories about beggars and behind the scenes stuff) but it felt right.

I think it's a difficult decision... (also, on a less 'holy' level, because I was hungry myself and every coin you give away is less espresso for later)

I up-voted a comment so that other people could see it.

I paid for the coffee for the person behind me in the drive thru this morning. I do this a couple times a month when I am feeling randomly kind.

Physically disassembled my mother's dishwasher, ordered 3 parts, replaced and recrimped everything myself to fix a leak from the motor and the upper dispenser that looks like it had never worked... for free... despite being unemployed for years.

Last friday I saw an older couple struggling to push their caravan into a parking space, I got out of my car and offered to help push. It felt great to do that. And they were very glad for the extra pair of hands. We pushed and after a small run-up, we managed to clear the small bump in the road it had to go over to get in the parking space.

Gave my idiot friend my last £3 to get sandwiches for his lunch.

I work in healthcare providing social and mental health services. I worked from home today to help out a patient. I'm on sick leave...because I had surgery earlier today.
