Liar, Lunatic or Lord?

C.S. Lewis popularized the trilemma of "liar, lunatic or lord" and Josh McDowell, and others, ran with that in order to firm up a foundation that may seek to exclude other options.

    Matt the Christi'Ain't,

You are missing yet another "L", Life. Because BY GOD he lives! I believe the "well" was poisoned long before the imposter "Christian" C. S. Lewis or the false enterprise of the SBA (that misled you with false doctrine) and it's pre and post predecessors saw the Life of day.

Just as Dowellism has been influenced by incorrect data, i.e. wayward and presupposed scribal opinions, your entire past experience (raised as a SB) initially laid a groundwork leading to your atheistic conclusions. You see Christi'Ain'tity (as opposed to ChristiAntioch) spawns atheism by default. I am actually amazed at the droves of blind followers to the false enterprise sans it's bullshit misinformation, false predictions, fantastic summations, and bad theologians. Even a baroque clock looks new if its operable and polished. Those TV preachers are polished.

Just as Luther thought he was on to something by 95ing the system with all of its faults. He just created his own 95 faults minus a pope. My point is when you baseline error and just smear away the peanut butter from the windshield you still can't see "well" enough to dodge the paperboy. The error (Cath) begot error (Prot)!

Put another way, Kim Jong-il begat Kim Jong-un see my point? To truly protest against an erroneous system you don't spawn another erroneous system.

Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. The Invisible Kingdom of Christ is here and active to those who are in it. And I can assure you Christi'Ain'ts ain't in it.

The hard truth for the "Churchianity" is:

NO SERPENT DEVIL SATAN "LUCIFER" NO WORLDWIDE FLOOD NO ALIENS ANGEL HYBRIDS NO RAPTURE NO BEAST NO HELL NO 666 NO PEARLY GATES NO MANSIONS as they expect NO SECOND COMING been here done that NO CHURCH SYSTEM NO TITHING NO END TIMES NO CHOSEN ISRAEL over in the modern day middle east NO JEWS only one left NO 3RD TEMPLE NO NWO NO ARMAGEDDON NO MILLENNIUM NO ANTICHRIST FALSE PROPHET SATAN COMBO

Are you aware that C.S. Lewis believed Jesus was delusional as to his return in 70 AD and like the Church Furthers (fathers) missed it totally. Oh yes, Lewis was therefore by default a Christi'Ain't. Let me quote from his book:

“Say what you like,” we shall be told, “the apocalyptic beliefs of the first Christians have been proved to be false. It is clear from the New Testament that they all expected the Second Coming in their own lifetime. And worse still, they had a reason, and one which you will find very embarrassing. Their Master had told them so. He shared, and indeed created, their delusion. He said in so many words, ‘this generation shall not pass till all these things be done.’ And he was wrong. He clearly knew no more about the end of the world than anyone else.” It is certainly the most embarrassing verse in the Bible. Yet how teasing, also, that within fourteen words of it should come the statement “But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.” The one exhibition of error and the one confession of ignorance grow side by side. ----C.S. Lewis, "The World's Last Night" (1960)

Lewis is embarrassing to himself and his readers with this shit. He was deluded along with the SBA, the UMC, the CoC, the LDS, the COG, hell the preponderance of almost every individual, cult, and government of men!

Don't you get it? God is a spirit. Those who know him relate to him do it via spiritual avenues. Science does not operate...

Doesn’t seem like you have very gracious things to say about Lewis. Raises questions about the troubled spirit in which you say them. Brings to mind that old caution never to trust a skinny chef.

Okay, I just have one question: do you have anything to support this other than your personal faith?

See the links at the end of the post, on proving with empiricism? Put that down for a while and search with less skepticism Enter into a mindset of seeing it from the orher side. You might be amazed at what you find. Kind of like sky diving for the first time you risk for thrill.

          search with less skepticism

That's what I thought. Thank you for your time.

Didn't say NO skepticism, just a little "less"on. How do you think I found out about all the Christian bullshit that parades as truth today and spawns the very people Christ considers into atheists? Gandhi nailed it "I love your Christ, but your christians give him a bad name" (my paraphrase).

Are you familiar with the concept of confirmation bias?

Same amount of skepticism as when I look for Zeus? I'm trying to calibrate here.

              @spaceghoti -

Let's see here: confirmed on the bias of a true and present Kingdom of Christ with peace and truth (NOT MODERN DAY CHRISTIANITY) or confirmed on the non-empirical, (requirement of faith) bias of the greater faith leap of no God? Trying to calibrate here.

SCIENCE: "I know the world, my past, science and me" SON: "I know my past, future place, world, me, spiritual realm, God and science" Who has more knowledge sources at their disposal?

You have a lot of assertions here. Let me know when you have evidence to back any of it up. Until then I'm going to bow out of this conversation.

Faith in the truth outweighs skepticism in the fantasy. You cannot "see" the brightness of the Son, less you search past the physical realm. I accept your bow. Go with what you were born with. Enjoy your brevity. I enjoy eternality. Nigh elation for annihilation.
