I really enjoy space exploration from the safety of my own chair. This is so amazing.
It really is the best open-world RPG
Always wanted to try out a decent space exploration RPG type game, I guess I just need to keep my eyes on space news more!
Flight sim space exploration: Elite Dangerous
Arcade-ish space exploration: No Man's Sky
I've got both, ED has a very steep learning curve and seems sterile to me. I have around 20 hours in the game.
NMS has been vastly improved since release, but it's very much variations on a theme. Good soundtrack and easy to play 5 minutes or 5 hours at a time. Closing in on 200 hours.
Ah, thanks for the heads up, maybe next time they offer it at 60%+ off I'll pick it up!
Edit: No Man's Sky that is.
If they follow standard practice, it should drop to 70% or 75% off for the winter sale.
If there is another big update, they'll probably drop it 40-60% for a midweek or weekend sale when they release it, and they are "due" for a release next month. Fingers crossed.
