Let's Not Hug It Out With Our Dogs
Your dog doesn't like your hugs. Psychologist and author Stanley Coren says that when he looked at a random sample of pictures showing people hugging dogs, most of the dogs showed signs of stress.

I beg to differ. My pup jumps on us for snuggles and hugs. The only time it gets nervous is when a child, or stranger tires to get to friendly. Which of course is normal for any animal or human. Imagine some strange child running up to you and trying to hug you.
