So, the US health care system is absurdly screwed up. No surprises there. The real surprise is that people accept this.
To be fair, there are a lot of people that don't, but lobbying is just too powerful.
There are not enough people who care, otherwise the problem would be solved.
When you have half of the political system that is deliberately going out of its way to lower women's health and get rid of women's health centers, this is the result.
Not going to argue against that. My point is, for all its defects, American democracy seems to work to the extent that, if enough people want something to happen, they can make it happen. The problem with health care, as I see it, is partly due to the usual corruption and greed, but to a larger extent due to the disregard for human life that's common in profoundly religious societies, added to the belief that work is virtuous and therefore if you don't have a job you don't deserve healthcare.
Yep..This is the important bit. They like to pretend they care,but actions speak way louder than words.
