According to the IFPI's head of anti-piracy, calling illegal downloading "piracy" has become somewhat of a hindrance. Those confronted with the term are more likely to romanticize the topic, Graeme Grant suggests, but can simply changing the name of something really change the beast?

The problem is not copyright. The problem is content distributors squeezing every single penny out of creative people while adding essentially no value to the content. I would very gladly pay a musician to listen to his music, but I refuse to pay a record label who adds nothing to the music and charges me 50 times what the musician gets. Not to mention filling my computer with rootkits and punishing people with absurdly disproportionate penalties for copying music.
