It's an interesting observation, held true through technology. I'm pretty sure, if the lights go out, meaning no way to transmit electronic information, the idea of masculinity will take a whole new, or old, twist. In short, with the computer age these ideals exist, without it, they don't.
If I were an AI, my first order of battle would be to protect the source, energy. I course I am not AI, but gee whiz, don't ya just think that could be true...and oh, the irony of that. They wouldn't care about clean coal, or clean anything. Just energy.
So if it is a muslim or a brown person doing the killing, they are a terrorist working with other terrorists, if it's a white guy, he's mad or sad and on his own even if he talked to other disaffected white guys.
