Shimmer Star is the youngest child and second daughter of Twilight Sparkle, her biological father being Flash Sentry. Shimmer is very protective especially over her half-sister Brilliant Sparkle, which often makes others believe she is the oldest of the two. She is a tomboy through and through, loving hanging around the boys, and adores being rough and tumble. She hates being dragged into anything she deems boring or 'sissy-ish'. Shimmer's dream is to be a Royal Guard, which she practices for every day and often hangs around her cousin Prism Heart who shares a similar interest with her.
