That doesn't sound too bad at all. I'm not sure about the coal though. Getting rid of regulations, that's good. If the US got rid of all the marijuana laws and regulations, there would be a booming industry with a booming middle class.
Good thing to back out of the TPP too.
Why don't you like the TPP, it seems similar to all our other trade agreements?
Because it's similar to our other trade agreements? You do realize that the US gets screwed on these agreements, right? Not US corporatists, they love the slave labor, I'm referring to the guy who lost his factory job and now works at McDonald's cleaning toilets.
I'm not sure the factory worker lost his job because of say NAFTA. He seems to of lost it mostly through automation. I mean I guess we could have trade agreements that impose crazy high import tariffs but i'm not sure that's going to bring back labor intensive manufacturing. Maybe we should have better training programs instead of just relying on ever higher import tariffs. I'm also pretty happy being able to buy imported goods. Though I guess if all nations imposed import tariffs on everything we could go back to a time of great diversity, travel would be far more interesting. It'd suck for the US tech and entertainment industry though.
Here are a couple of interesting articles by Derek Thompson regarding automation and the loss of jobs. http://www.theatlantic.com/business/archive/2016/10/the-robot-paradox/505973/ http://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2015/07/world-without-work/395294/
I will give him a chance for the first 100 days. But I don't expect much.
Look at his cabinet picks. I expect a lot, and not a bit of it is going to benefit anybody but the wealthy. Yet again, the middle class chooses to shoot themselves in the face because they are angry and stupid. The stupid can't be fixed, but the angry can be fixed by them simply understanding that their life sucks because they are stupid and they support people who take raises for themselves when they are already wealthy and then send the middle class jobs overseas. And these are the people that the idiot middle class wants in power. You fuckers earned and deserve everything you are about to receive.
