I'm an Afrikaans native speaker, so I approached the languages from a bit of a different angle. However, I'd say German is more difficult to learn in terms of linguistic structure and vocabulary, especially with the case system that meh mentioned, while the pronunciation in Dutch is a bit trickier. In essence, if you can gargle, roll your r's and spit, you can speak German. With Dutch it's a bit more melodic.

I completely agree. As a recent refugee, I'm absolutely blown away by the functionality and beauty of the interface here. However, as someone who's studied UI a bit at university, there are still a few things that could be improved to make the interface even more pleasant. What's the best way to get these suggestions to the devs?

Sometimes the Windows product key is on a sticker somewhere (sometimes even at the bottom) on your laptop. However, as eilyra pointed out, sometimes you need to have the original OEM disc to install from... This is how they keep laptop costs so low, they basically sell you a copy of Windows that you can only use once.

Nasa physicist turned full-time cartoonist Randall Munroe estimates that if Facebook falls out of favour with young generations, as many social media sites do, the point at which there will be more users who have died than are living is around 2060. And if Facebook continues to thrive, that’s more like 2130.

Sounds like the premise for a pretty good sci-fi novel, actually. Social Network of the Dead.

Oh most definitely. In fact, when I started playing dota 2 the learning curve meant I lost interest after a while. The competitive scene dragged me back, however, and now I've started playing a lot as well.

Would love to get a casting gig at some point, but my schedule is a bit too hectic to pursue this full-time at the moment.

As for my team, I've been Na'Vi since the beginning, and through all the lean years recently. I don't even stay because of the name, I stay because of Dendi. Not much of a Secret fan (filthy backstabbers), but to each his own I guess :P
