M25 (IC 4725)
Open cluster in Sagittarius

M25 is around 90 million years old, 200 light years distant and contains 4 giant stars, 2 each type M and G stars plus a variable, U Sagittarii.

For unknown reasons, M25 was never assigned a New General Catalog (NGC) number. It did receive several other designations, also being known as: Collinder 382, Melotte 204, C 1828-192 and MWSC 2940.
