Even though this appeared in The Daily Caller, I bet some of that stuff actually happened. The drama at /r/Wikileaks lately has almost been a proper farce. There would've had to've been more mods and admins appearing out of nowhere, hiding behind curtains, then scurrying away like rats for it to've gone Off Broadway. For every place like /r/Politics that seems to've been scrubbed clean and Stepfordized, there's another like /r/Conspiracy where the neurodegenerative disease of 'shill-shaming' spreads like rust. I'm not one to criticize any one of those mod teams, but I will say I'm glad I don't spend time in those subs to speak of. At the risk of seeing shills coming out of the woodwork, it's hard not to interpret what happened at /r/Wikileaks to be a Correct The Record operation. And how in goddesses' names can you explain the top hundred or so posts at /r/Politics lately?

I unsubscribed from r/politics a couple of weeks ago. It's made reading reddit and whole lot better of an experience. Whether it was CTR posting absolute tons of crap or just regular redditors, I don't know, but it was brutal with that sub in my feed.

For years, I think, people signed up for accounts at Reddit mostly so they could unsubscribe from /r/Politics when it was a default.

I just dipped in there to see what's going on now there's the new Clinton email development. This whole election is a shit show.

I'm pretty surprised myself at the anti-Hillary vitriol there. When Bernie got dissed it really sent the anti-establishment sentiment to the forefront. There's more anti-Clinton posts than anti-Trump!

324,720,797 Americans, and she's the best this country could do? Then, when she leaves office on Monday, January 20, 2025, we can acquaint ourselves with our new president, George Prescott Bush.

Maybe she will be a one-term president

Assuming of course we still live in anything like the republic we have now by then. After the coming wars, I mean.

It's hard to tell. I am glad I'm semi-sheltered by living in the middle of nowhere in Alaska.

Man, I just can't get away from that piece of shit site. Who gives a rat's ass what those censoring, ban hammering fuckwads do?

I've gotten to the point (both on reddit, other websites, and real life) where, when the presidential election comes up as a topic, I just gloss over and stop paying attention. I've found myself going to reddit much less lately.

That post with the threads is hilarious! Somebody should take on Torquemada as an avatar to complete the whole scene.

The highlight of the whole, sordid variety show has to be the admins passing it all off. Frankly, I wonder which side in all this is doing the least vote manipulation. Something that even talking about, lest any of us forget, can get you permanently banned from Reddit.

Admin: It was a bug on our end

        Response: You misspelled censorship

This whole thing is Monty Python grade comedy.
