    When we are shocked or surprised in a way that challenges how we view ourselves, we get angry. Angry because you are being mistreated? Is it because you are absolutely shocked that someone isn't treating you how you feel you deserve to be treated?

    I have had a lot of difficulty challenging the above argument. I don't feel like it is complete, but I've yet to come up with an example that's root cause doesn't support it.
