Strange Radio Bursts Seen Coming From a Galaxy Far, Far Away
Astronomers have at last pinpointed the home galaxy of an extremely powerful radio blast, offering clues to what caused the enigmatic event. Every day, thousands of enigmatic objects in space produce bursts of radio waves that flash for just a few milliseconds yet are capable of generating as much energy as 500 million suns.

The Universe has been here forever, and it will be here forever. Our means of dealing with scientific discoveries require us to only consider the life of the Universe back only to the Big Bang, so that ties our hands when it comes to what we think these radio waves are. They could very well be relay stations boosting signals from sources way beyond the visible Universe. Our own DNA/RNA didn't come from star dust just dancing around in space, and I seriously doubt that we, as a people, are the center of the Universe.
The big news about this recording of fast radio bursts (FRBs) is that it repeated several times, and in an isolated area (a dwarf galaxy about 1% the mass of the Milky Way). Therefore, it disproves several current theories that the FRBs are caused by one-off events such as a collision between two dense neutron stars; or at least, proves that it is not the only way they could be formed. This leaves three current theories:
