Ms Chen from Xiamen on China’s east coast woke to find she couldn’t hear her boyfriend talking. The previous evening she had reportedly experienced nausea and ringing in her ears.

China 'launches app that tells you if you are near someone in debt'
Chinese authorities have developed an app to tell people if they are nearby someone in debt. State-run newspaper China Daily reported that officials in the Chinese province of Hebei created the app, named 'map of deadbeat debtors', which can be accessed through social media app WeChat. The app alerts users with a flash when they are within 500 meters of someone who is in debt - the newspaper claimed.

It took a little convincing before police believed the person who reported the strange discovery. The concerned citizen claimed to have entered an abandoned Houston, Texas home to smoke pot and found a tiger. So, naturally, authorities were suspicious. "We questioned them as to whether they were under the effects of the drugs or they actually saw a tiger," Sgt. Jason Alderete of the Houston Police Department's Major Offenders, Livestock Animal Cruelty Unit told CNN affiliate KTRK.

Doctor tells man he's dying via video robot
A doctor in California told a patient he was going to die using a robot with a video-link screen. Ernest Quintana, 78, was at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Fremont when a doctor - appearing on the robot's screen - informed him that he would die within a few days. A family friend wrote on social media that it was "not the way to show value and compassion to a patient".

Devin Nunes Sues Twitter for Allowing Accounts to Insult Him
Stung by obscene and pointed criticism, Representative Devin Nunes, a Republican from California, has sued Twitter and three users for defamation, claiming the users smeared him and the platform allowed it to happen because of a political agenda. Fact check: Scientists at CERN are not opening a 'portal to hell'
In April, scientists at the European Organization for Nuclear Research, or CERN, restarted their particle accelerator – the world's largest and most powerful accelerator – after a three-year hiatus. The accelerator, the Large Hadron Collider, had undergone repairs and upgrades, and scientists plan to use it to crash protons together and learn more about the origins of the universe.
