Sasebo teen held for allegedly strangling, decapitating friend
A teenager was arrested Sunday on suspicion of killing a high school friend who was visiting her apartment in Sasebo, Nagasaki Prefecture, police said. The 15-year-old girl, whose name was withheld as she is a minor, allegedly used a blunt instrument to kill Aiwa Matsuo, also 15, around 8 p.m. Saturday by attacking her from behind with over a dozen blows to the head and strangling her. Her head and left hand had been chopped off as well, they said.

Teen kills himself after accidentally shooting girlfriend in Minnesota
Police in Minneapolis say a teenage boy killed himself Monday afternoon after he accidentally shot his girlfriend in the face and chest, CBS Minnesota reports. The Anoka County sheriff's office say 15-year-old Alantae Arnold shot his 14-year-old girlfriend with a handgun around 4 p.m. in an apartment building near the 11200 block of Robinson Drive Northwest, where the boy lived. He then ran about 250 feet to a nearby charter school parking lot and shot himself in the head.
