Alec Baldwin to Host ‘Saturday Night Live’ for 17th Time on Feb. 11
Alec Baldwin has been appearing as now-President Donald Trump on “Saturday Night Live” for quite a while, but only in the capacity of a guest. On Feb. 11, he’ll return again as host. This will be Baldwin’s 17th time delivering the monologue from the stage at Studio 8H, giving him a new record for most times hosting the show. Ed Sheeran will be the musical guest for the occasion. Baldwin’s hosting gig puts a probable tweetstorm from President Trump in the forecast.

Trump or Baldwin? Newspaper uses wrong picture
The blunder by journalists saw an image of the actor dressed up as Trump appearing in print instead of the President. A newspaper in the Dominican Republic has had to apologise to readers after it mistakenly used a photo of Alec Baldwin impersonating Donald Trump instead of the US President himself. The Hollywood actor, wearing a blond wig in his guise as the American leader on comedy show Saturday Night Live (SNL), appeared next to an image of Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Dave Chappelle apologizes for telling people to give Donald Trump ‘a chance’
When Dave Chappelle hosted Saturday Night Live the weekend after the November 8 election, he said he was willing to give newly elected President Trump a chance. Shortly before his November 12 hosting gig, Chappelle had visited the White House — which was still occupied by Barack Obama — and the experience had left him feeling “hopeful and proud to be an America,” the AV Club reported. That kind of benevolence was on his mind as he, like everyone else at SNL, struggled to come up with a show that would acknowledge...

TV Ratings: 'SNL' and Alec Baldwin Make Strong Return After Record Election Year
Saturday Night Live returned to NBC this weekend, Alec Baldwin in tow, for another season likely peppered with parody of Donald Trump. Airing live in all U.S. time zones, as it did for four episodes last season and will continue to do all of this season, the show averaged just over 7 million viewers and a 1.9 rating among adults 18-49. Those figures both represent declines of a little more than 15 percent from the prior opener — no surprise given last year's presidential election cycle.

'SNL' cowbell sketch 'ruined' Christopher Walken's life, says Will Ferrell
Turns out, Christopher Walken needs less cowbell. Millions of people have cracked up at Saturday Night Live’s iconic “More Cowbell” sketch, which starred Will Ferrell and Christopher Walken. But the one person not laughing? Walken himself, apparently. In the famous 2000 bit, Ferrell played an overzealous member of Blue Öyster Cult, while Walken portrayed famed music producer Bruce Dickinson. In the sketch, Dickinson insisted that the band’s famous track “needs more cowbell,” and Ferrell’s character went wild with the suggestion. The rest, as they say, is history.
